State and Federal funding is available for eligible employees within the Traineeship Program. All States operate an incentive program referred to as 'User Choice'. For example, WA State Government’s ‘User Choice’ will fund new full time employees if employed under 3 months and part time employees if employed under 12 months and working an average of 20 hours per week over 12 months. Funded Traineeships are also available for employees between 16 and 24 years of age regardless of their time in the workplace. An enrolment fee established by the WA State Department of Employment and Training will be required for ‘User Choice’ participants and invoiced inline with the initial grant.
The Federal Government will also provide a $4,000 incentive payment for each eligible employee (full or part time, not casual and without an active formal qualification less that 7 years) who undertakes a Certificate III in Caravan Park Operations. Payment will be provided in two instalments, the first, $1500 three months from commencement and the final payment of $2500 on completion and issuance of the qualification. The training/assessment process will depend on the Trainee's ability to attain Competency, but generally will be conducted over a 12-month period.
The cost of training, assessment and issuance of each qualification from Tubal for those who do not qualify for ‘User Choice funding will be negotiated. Payment for 'fee for service' qualification will be invoiced and required in line with incentive grants and will comprise of an initial payment and the final payment for each participant completing the qualification.
Tubal also encourages supervisors, managers or owners to undertakes Certificate IV or Diploma of Holiday Parks & Resorts. To that end, Tubal will offer a financial incentive to undertake management qualifications where a minimum of three Traineeships are contracted with Tubal. Costs will be invoiced inline with the Federal Incentive Grant.
