OH&S Risk Managements  Audits

Introduction

Tubal’s OH&S Risk identification and reporting encompasses a complete analysis of the businesses operation.  It focuses on the overriding issues of duty of care and the provision and adoption of the appropriate risk identification policies, procedures and sensible strategies. The processes identify, analyse and provide elimination or control of those risks that threaten the assets or earning capacity of the businerss. The implementation and management processes consist of well defined steps, which, when taken in sequence, will support greater understanding, better decision making and contribute to a far safer workplace. This will be achieved simply through having a greater insight into risks and their impact on the business, employees, guests and visitors. It will be as much about identifying opportunities as it will be about avoiding losses.

By adopting effective OH&S Risk Management techniques,  the organisation will:

1    Improve the safety, quality and overall business performance.

2.     Protect itself against the adverse effects of loss.

3.     Skill and organise its staff to carry out tasks effectively and safely.

4.     Manage and motivate staff to undertake responsibility.

5.     Provide more effective strategic planning.

6.     Provide better cost control.

7.     Enhance its value by minimising losses and maximising opportunities.

8.     Increase knowledge and understanding of exposure to risk.

9.     Offer a systematic, well-informed and thorough method of decision-making.

10.  Increase preparedness for OH&S Legislation and outside review.

11.  Minimise disruptions.

12.  Provide better utilisation of resources.

13.  Strengthen its culture for OH&S, duty of care and provision for continued improvement through adoption and implementation of quality policies and procedures.

14. Create a healthy and safe workplace, promoting best practice and quality processes.

A Culture of Compliance

As directors and managers increasingly become more personally accountable for their decisions and actions, they need a strategy that assures they understand the implications and risks associated with every decision they make. Without an OH&S Risk Management program in place, accountability may be a lucky dip.

A sound OH&S Risk Management program can prevent accidents, which may result in serious workplace tragedies and possible death. Businesses that have a sound OH&S Risk Management Program in place would have a key defense in the event of a breach of law, simply because a culture of compliance would exist and the breach could be viewed as an aberration. Many businesses lose legal and civil cases simply because owners and managers leave themselves exposed by not complying with Legislation and not meeting their duty of care with regard to providing a safe and healthy workplace.

The Risk Identifcation and Reporting Process

Our OH&S Auditing and Reporting process also uses Tubal's 'secure' web encryption tunnel.  All hazards are picture identified and loaded onto the System.  The client reports on each hazard by recording their process of elimination or control, which is recorded on the System and established as a Task.  When completed, the eliminated or controlled hazard is logged onto the System’s Reports and is easily date accessed if need be.
